In a complete Swarm chassis failure scenario, what is the process for replacing it?
The following steps can be taken to replace a failed device:
- Prepare a new x86 server node.
- Turn off the failed node and remove its disks.
- Install the old disks in the new node. This assumes the controllers in the new chassis and the old chassis are the same. Be careful when swapping disks among disparate chassis as some controllers will see the start of disk differently and could potentially reformat the disks.
- Restart the new node.
