Can user metadata be changed?
Can user metadata be changed?
Content metadata, both storage policies (retention period, deletability, etc.) and custom metadata, are an immutable part of a regular object. If you desire to change an object's storage policy, it will technically be a different object even if it happens to have the same content. Anchor streams do support update of both policy and custom metadata using the COPY method, which allows metadata updates while preserving the original object content.
