platform-read-pss.sh overview

platform-read-pss.sh overview

  • PSS is the Persistent Settings Stream

  • Run this script on a CSN or Platform Server to get the PSS for all nodes or a subset of nodes

  • This is typically run when there is a password mismatch issue or you want to backup your PSS

  • Good to run if you want to see the parameters in effect currently in your cluster (via CLI).

    • cluster.cfg is potentially overwritten by the PSS, so the PSS will have the parameters in effect

  • techsupport-bundle-grab.sh collect this as well.

  • Replaced by: swarmctl -P -x   # export to file, and may need -p [user:pass]
