swarmctl -F Format stale disks
swarmctl -F Format stale disks
swarmctl -F [stale volume]
Only applies to disks marked as stale. Stale disk are those that have been offline for more than 2 weeks (default).
Forgo the volume option to format all stale disks on a node. This is the more common option.
This is more efficient than navigating to the terminal console on a Swarm storage node, stopping the storage processes, formatting the drives, and then rebooting the chassis.
