Swarm Cluster Services 1.7 Release Notes

 

Changes in Swarm Cluster Services (SCS) 1.7

This release features the following improvements:

  • The RPM package is now signed with a SHA256 signature. (SCSL-399)

  • SCS init wizard now asks which network interface to use for external and internal storage network. (SCSL-361)

  • nft_conntrack_tftp kernel module is auto-loaded and required for netboot. (SCSL-374)

  • scsctl command line arguments autocomplete now. (SCSL-122)

  • network.timesource automatically includes the SCS backend IP address as a default. (SCSL-232)

  • Fixed a bug that prevented podman ps from showing all pods as healthy. (SCSL-377)

  • Old container images are properly cleaned up on an upgrade. (SCSL-387)

  • Old custom node.cfg files are now properly handled when doing a component add command. (SCSL-396)

Limitations

  • SELinux must be disabled when initializing or upgrading SCS. (SCSL-365)

  • Performing a system reset (scsctl system reset) may result an error if it runs after an upgrade. Contact support if this occurs. (SCSL-370)

  • There is no support for using gPXE instead of iPXE in this release. (PLT-60)
