Swarm Cluster Services 1.7.3 Release Notes

Changes in Swarm Cluster Services (SCS) 1.7.3

This release features the following improvements:

  • Added support for using ipxe instead of the default lpxe for booting storage nodes. This includes support for both BIOS and UEFI. (SCSL-451)

Limitations

  • When adding new storage nodes to a cluster, ensure all existing nodes are online. This will prevent IP address conflicts during the boot sequence. (SCSL-430)

  • When restoring from a backup, the currently activated versions of installed components need to be double-checked and updated. (SCSL-425)

  • SELinux must be disabled when initializing or upgrading SCS. (SCSL-365)

  • Performing a system reset (scsctl system reset) after an upgrade may result in an error. If this happens, contact DataCore support for assistance. (SCSL-370)

  • There is no support for using gPXE in this release. (PLT-60)
