Create a Scale-out Backup Repository

Under the Backup Infrastructure view, click the Scale-out Repositories.
Click on Add Scale-out Repository button on the ribbon.
Select the backup repository to use for the Performance Tier.
Click OK after your selection, and then click Next to Choose the Placement Policy. Data locality is the default. Click Next to configure the Capacity Tier.
On the Capacity Tier screen, check the box to extend scale-out backup repository capacity with object storage and select the backup repository associated with Swarm object storage created earlier.
You may also check the Encrypt data box. If selected, you’ll need to enter the encryption password.
Note:
a) When encrypting backups, verify the [storage_cluster] managementPassword is specified in the gateway.cfg file for Swarm Gateway. See Gateway configuration for further details about configuring Swarm Gateway.
b) Best practice is to use a different password in Veeam configuration from what is used in Swarm configuration.
Click Apply.
Once the scale-out repository is successfully created, click Finish.
