Follow the below steps to install Elasticsearch for SCI:
In the Elasticsearch summary page, hardware specifications are prefilled as per data uploaded using the YAML file. These prefilled hardware specifications (number of nodes, CPU cores per node, and memory per node) are editable so the customer can update values as required.
Click Next to proceed.
Important
We recommend not to change the default disk count.
Add one or multiple Elasticsearch nodes as required, using Add button.
4. Provide the vCenter host information.
a. Datacenter - Enter the datacenter name.
b. Datastore - Enter the datastore name.
c. ESX Host FQDN - Enter the ESX hostname.
d. Management Network - Management network
e. Storage Network - Private network
Provide the below Elasticsearch information for installation.
Enter the hostname, domain name, and management IP of Elasticsearch.
If the management IP is static:
Provide management network IP with netmask and network gateway IP address.
Add the number of DNS servers required.
Select the storage IP as static or DHCP.
If static IP is selected, provide an IP address and netmask.
Note
For Static IP, this is not the Swarm storage IP address but your private IP address.
Important
Make sure you do not select a private IP address in the DHCP range managed by SCS.
Click Add. It adds Elasticsearch hostname information. The hostname information is editable so a customer can update it if required or can delete it if not required anymore.
Info
The hostname will be used as a VM name.
Click Install to initiate installing Elasticsearch. Wait for Elasticsearch installation to complete.
Click Install Gateway.
