After getting the Swarm license, the platform SCS is ready to boot storage nodes after applying for the Swarm license. Power on the chassis to begin running the Swarm storage service.
Create Virtual Storage Node on VMware ESXi
Refer to the following steps:
Login to ESXi 7 Admin WebUI.
Click Create/Register VM.
Select Create a new virtual machine and click Next.
Enter the name and guest OS of the virtual node.
Name - Swarm Storage Node 01
Guest OS family - Linux
Guest OS version - Debian GNU/Linux 10 (64bit)
Click Next.
Select the appropriate storage and click Next.
Under Customize settings, select minimum hardware requirements:
CPU - 2 cores
Memory - 4GB
HD - 16GB
Click Next.
It displays a preview of settings configured:Click Edit to modify any virtual storage node configuration if required. Once changes are done, save the configuration and click Finish.
If there is nothing to be changed for virtual storage node configurations, click Finish to finalize configurations.
Select VM Options and expand Advanced from the left panel.
Click Edit Configuration.
To add new configuration parameters, click the +Add parameter and ensure that the disk.EnableUUID key must have a value TRUE. If yes, click OK, else change it to TRUE.
Click Save. It creates a new virtual storage node.

Once all four virtual storage nodes are created, you need to power on all of them one by one and SCS will assign an IP address to those storage nodes in sequence.
