Important

Continue on the same installer to install the Gateway.

  1. Click Install Gateway.

  2. On In the Gateway Summary summary page, the number of nodes, CPU cores, and Memory memory per node are prefilled based on the YAML file uploaded earlier. These details are editable so a customer can update them if required.

  3. Click Next.

  4. Click Add to add a Gateway.

  5. Provide the VMware host details.

    1. Datacenter - Enter the datacenter name.

    2. Datastore - Enter the datastore name.

    3. ESX Host FQDN - Enter the ESX hostname

    4. Access Network - Management network

    5. Storage Network - Private network

  6. Provide the Gateway information.

    1. Enter the hostname and domain name for Gateway.

    2. Select an access IP as static or DHCP.

      1. For a static IP address, provide the access IP with a netmask and network gateway IP address. Add the number of DNS servers required.

Note

For Static IP, this is not the Swarm storage IP address but your private IP address.

Make sure you do not select a private IP address in the DHCP range managed by SCS.

  1. Click Add. It adds the host node on the Gateway. Repeat steps 2 to 6 to add more host nodes.

  2. Select an authentication method as per the authentication type configured on the customer’s VM. The drop-down contains LDAP, Active Directory, SAML, or PAM methods.

Tip

If PAM authentication is selected, user is created in the local gateway with the username/password provided while configuring SCS node. By default, access policy is defined with the newly created username.
