Additional Backup Repository

Additional Backup Repository

Repeat the process defined here to create multiple buckets with various Erasure Coding policies and S3 tokens valid for different periods of time.

Once backup repositories are set up and configured, no additional management tasks are required for the Swarm bucket. Cllow Veeam to manage the content in this bucket during normal operations.

Create a Test Backup Job

Create a test backup job using Swarm as the backup repository. Follow Veeam’s guidelines for adding organizations representing the Microsoft 365 environment if not already performed.

Create a backup job for a specific file or folder using the Swarm target. Select the Home tab and click on “Last 24 Hours” to verify the job completes successfully once the job finishes.

Navigate to the bucket chosen for the backup and verify new backup files are added by Veeam from the Swarm Content Portal.
