Overview

This release of Single Node Swarm (SNS) introduces key enhancements and optimizations aimed at delivering a more robust and user-friendly experience for administrators and evaluators. The update focuses on improving system reliability, performance insights, and the overall user experience to streamline cluster management in a single-node environment.

Enhancements

  • Updated SNS User Interface (UI)
A new version of the SNS UI has been released with improved usability and enhancements.

  • Terminology Updates in SNS
To improve clarity, certain security-related terms in the SNS UI have been updated:

Issues Resolved

  • RAM Size Displayed Correctly in the UI
Previously, the RAM size appeared as 0 GB on the Hardware Details page, even when the actual memory (Example: 256 GB) was correctly configured. This issue has now been resolved. The UI accurately reflects the installed RAM. (UIP-1017)

  • Embedded Grafana Now Loads Correctly on First Login
Previously, the application attempted to retrieve Grafana endpoint information before user authentication was complete, causing the request to fail and the dashboard to remain unresponsive.

The application logic has been updated to ensure that endpoint information is retrieved only after authentication is successful. As a result, Grafana now loads correctly on first access without requiring a manual page refresh. (UIP-1040)

Known Issues and Limitations

  • Swarm Status and UI URL Display
On SSH, Swarm status may incorrectly show as "NotReady" and the UI URL might display as "http://0.0.0.0:9010/ui". Neither of these issues affects functionality. (TPTR-590)

  • Unable to Log in to Telemetry When SNS is Accessed via Hostname
When you access the SNS UI using a hostname (Example: http://sns-host.local:9010/ui), the Telemetry login page may keep reappearing after you enter your credentials. Even with valid login details, you are redirected back to the login screen repeatedly.

This is due to browser security behavior that prevents session cookies from being set correctly when accessing SNS UI using a hostname. (UIP-1039)

To mitigate this issue, access the SNS UI using the system’s IP address instead of a hostname (Example: http://10.200.9.40/grafana).
