How to Create a New Backup Manifest UUID

How to Create a New Backup Manifest UUID

I accidentally deleted my backup manifest UUID on my CSN. How do I create a new one?

You should probably consult with DataCore Support if this happens, but you can create a new backup manifest UUID by removing the old (deleted) UUID from this file:

/var/opt/caringo/csn/backup/manifest/.bootstrap

and then reboot your CSN. Once the CSN comes back up, make a manual backup. At that time, you will see a new backup manifest UUID. It is likely the old backups are no longer accessible.

The UUIDs of the old backups are located here:

/var/opt/caringo/csn/backup/manifest/savesets.default
