Except for Swarm storage nodes, it is recommended to run other Swarm components as Virtual Machines (VMs). Content Gateways, SCS/CSN, Swarm Search (Elasticsearch) nodes, standalone SCSP proxies, and FileFly servers are good candidates to run as VMs. It is not recommended to run Swarm storage nodes as VMs in production environments. Contact the DataCore sales team if a hard requirement exists for Swarm storage nodes to run in VMware as some environments may be acceptable.
