Define Hardware Specification

The YAML file contains hardware specifications and is created using the environment called Swarm Configurator. See [DRAFT] Swarm Configurator for more detail on details about each component used in the configurator. Minimum 3 nodes must be set up and connected to the network to configure the Swarm cluster. Once done, power on the storage nodes.

Define Hardware Specification

  1. Upload the YAML file exported from Swarm Configurator.

  2. Click Next. The uploaded file displays the hardware specifications that are editable.

  3. Click Edit to update any hardware specification for SCS nodesif needed. Click Save to save the updated details.

  4. Click Next.

Power on Storage Nodes

Must Have

Verify the storage nodes are powered on and booting over PXE before proceeding.

  1. If the storage nodes are not powered on yet, Swarm Installer displays a wizard to power on storage nodes, click them on. Click Ok to proceed and power on storage nodes.

  2. Wait Swarm Installer waits for storage nodes to power on. Once done, details like IP address, hostname, CPU, memory, and maximum storage capacity in TB are displayed for each powered-on storage node.
