  • The server is configured to network boot.

  • PortFast is configured on the switch ports

  • The extended time delay required for listening and learning Spanning Tree states can prevent netboot from delivering the Swarm image to the node in a timely manner if the above are not satisfied.

The node boots from the USB device/ CSN/ or custom PXE boot server, but Swarm fails to start.

The node begins to boot but reports a "kernel panic" error and stops.
