  1. Plugin the USB key into the Transporter device.

  2. Plug the Transporter device and computer/laptop into the same network switch.

  3. Power on the device. Now, the device will be accessible via the network and the reboot process will start.

Reboot

Reboot takes a few minutes to start the Perifery Transporter so please wait until the reboot process is finished. You will see the following screens during the reboot:

Navigate to Advanced > Manage content > click (blue star). It leads to the Content Portal to view all the content (bucket, objects, etc.).

Data Migration

It is used to migrate bucket content to a remote S3 destination.

...

To move a bucket content, refer to the following steps:

  1. Click (blue star) corresponding to the bucket. It displays a form in the sliding panel.

  2. Fill in the required fields marked with asterisks (*):

    1. S3 endpoint URL – A target S3 endpoint URL.

    2. S3 region – A geographic area of the storage.

    3. S3 bucket – A target S3 bucket where the content is to be moved.

    4. Remote folder – A folder path within the remote bucket.

    5. Access key – An access key for the remote bucket. It must be generated within the remote cloud storage service.

    6. Secret key – An S3 secret key that is generated with the access key.

  3. Click Move. A confirmation message appears.


    The S3 target will display in the S3 destination column for the corresponding bucket.

Generate report

  1. Click (blue star) corresponding to the bucket.

    1. Scenario 1: For successfully migrated data, the report provides a preview of bucket content as shown below:

    2. Scenario 2: In case of failed data migration, the report shows the cause of failure.

  2. Click Download. It will either download or pop up in a browser tab depending on how the browser handles the content type of the JSON file.
