On the Elasticsearch Summary page, hardware specifications are prefilled as per data uploaded using the YAML file. These prefilled hardware specifications (number of nodes, CPU cors per node, and memory per node) are editable so the customer can update values as required and click Next to proceed.
Hosts are also referred to as storage nodes and can be used interchangeably. Add one or multiple hosts (storage Elasticsearch nodes ) as required, using Add button. Hosts are added one by one. (Any limitation on adding nodes like minimum 1 and maximum ?).
Provide the vCenter host information including:
DataCenter & DataStore - Enter the datacenter and datastore name of the vCenter host.
ESX Host FQDN - Enter the ESX hostname of the vCenter.
Management Network - Private network
Storage Network - Public network
Provide the below Elasticsearch information for installation:
Enter the hostname, domain name, and private IP of Elasticsearch.
If the private IP is static:
Provide private network IP with network mass subnet and network gateway IP address.
Add the number of DNS servers required.
Select the storage IP as static or DHCP.
Click Next. It adds Elasticsearch hostname information. The hostname information is editable so a customer can update it if required or can delete it if not required anymore.
Click Install to initiate installing Elasticsearch. Wait for a few seconds to install Elasticsearch on the VM.
